Georgette Ménard nos relata la aventura del pequeño gorrión, que cae fortuitamente de su nido. Este suceso pondrá en juego un concurso muy desigual de intereses y decisiones. Todos los personajes (el pequeño gorrión, sus papás, el gato y la niña) tratan de lograr su propósito. En cada uno de esos intentos los pequeños lectores aprenderán a ver un mismo acontecimiento desde diferentes perspectivas, según la motivación de quien actúa; en ningún caso coinciden los intereses de los personajes aunque todos se influyen de manera simultánea y determinante. Hacia el final, abierto a consecuencias desconocidas, la autora decide que el gorrión aparezca de nuevo.
Se trata de un libro muy útil para mostrar a los lectores más pequeños la trascendencia de los actos que tomamos por irrelevantes y la invisible comunicación que enlaza todos los sucesos cotidianos.

Georgette Ménard tells the little sparrow adventure, who accidentally falls from the nest. This event will bring into play an equal combination of interests and decisions. All the characters (the little sparrow, his parents, the cat and the girl) try to achieve their goal. At every try, young readers will learn to consider the same event from different point of views, according to the incentive of the actor; in any case, the interests of the characters are common, although all of them have a simultaneous and determining impact. As the ending approaches, open to unknown consequences, the author decides the sparrow to reappear.
It is a very useful book to show the youngest readers the relevance of the acts we take for granted and the invisible communication linking all daily events.
