David in the Spiral / David en la espiral
Author: Antía Edras
Illustrator: Iván Redueño
Spanish-English Translator: Lawrence Schimel
David lives in a spiral he does not know how to get out. He has been long trying but he never successes. He always goes back to the spiral centre. The dragonfly and the grasshopper live with him. None of them know how to help him out. He will only arrive to get out when he follows the snail’s advice.
Some situations catch us, lock us, prevent us from getting out. It is not important if we voluntarily entered ourselves for whichever reason. We sometimes forget how to leave them behind and this forget makes them to retain us as spirals, to the centres of which we have been falling one turn after another. David has been long living there, at the centre of his own spiral. At the beginning, he felt comfortable, then, when he wanted to get out, found out he did not know how.
